A long time ago Maui and his brothers pulled on the ropes. He pulled as hard as he could. Maui's people came out and his people Pulled the sun with the ropes as hard they can. They pulled the sun to them so they can see in the light. The sun said, "you are going to hurt me, stop pulling me."
Maui and his brothers let go of the sun and the sun was
shining in the sky and the sun was higher in the sky. Maui and his brothers can see because the sun is shining in the sky.
